Ted York - Managing Director

Ted York, founder and managing director has a career spanning 40 years in insurance, was a founding member of the highly regarded trade association NFIFA and founder of IFA Portfolio Ltd, a forerunner of umbrella service companies for IFAs. Prior to founding Berkeley Alexander, Ted filled various posts with Endsleigh Insurance and Standard Life. Ted is an active broadcaster and regular writer on insurance related issues in the financial press.

Geoff Hall ACII - Director and General Manager

Geoff Hall, General Manager and Director, manages Berkeley Alexander on a day to day basis. His experience covers a broad range of IT, sales, marketing and administration gained from within the insurance industry. Prior to joining Berkeley Alexander in 1989, Geoff worked for London & Edinburgh Insurance for 6 years. Geoff, who is ACII qualified, is a regular writer and commentator in the financial press.

Mike Gamble - Head of Sales and Marketing

Mike’s career in financial services spans more than 24 years, with an extensive experience in retail banking, investments, mortgages and project management. Career moves have involved Mike working with Lloyds Bank, Bank of Ireland Group and HBOS. Professionally, Mike is a Member of the Association for Project Management, a Member of the Institute of Risk Management and the Chartered Institute of Management. Zoe Hutchings - Customer Service Manager

Our Customer Services Manager, leading our team to help you. Zoe has extensive Customer Service experience and skills gained from a successful career within financial services and leads a team of highly motivated and experienced insurance staff.

Phil Seward - Commercial Manager

Phil commenced his insurance career in 1975 with Commercial Union and rapidly progressed to Commercial Accident underwriter at their flagship branch in London’s Pall Mall. Following the mergers of Commercial Union, General Accident and Norwich Union to form Britain’s largest insurer, Aviva, he joined Berkeley Alexander in 2001, to lead their Commercial Insurance department. With in depth knowledge and experience in commercial insurance, our team at Berkeley Alexander will be able to find the solution to your clients’ insurance requirements.

Phil Morris - Administration Manager

Ensuring the logistical needs of the business are met and ensuring renewals are managed efficiently. Phil joined Berkeley Alexander in 1999 and has progressed through the operational side of the business, whilst studying for professional qualifications. He leads a dedicated team of experienced insurance personnel.

Amanda Connor – Assistant, Accounts Department

Amanda joined Berkeley Alexander in 2005, following an extensive career in retail banking with Barclays Bank, which spanned 13 years and covered many aspects of banking. She brings considerable experience and supervisory skills to the role of accounts’ assistant.
