No State Help
An article about the limited support from the stat

The state "safety net" has changed over the past few years. If the claimant has either a full time working partner or savings of over £8000, they may not receive any benefit at all. Your client won't receive any help with capital repayments and will only receive interest payments on mortgages up to £100,000. Even then, any state benefit won't be payable for the first 9 months if the mortgage was arranged after October 1995.
